Introducing our panel:

Richard Jones - Engineering Lead - Deloitte. Richard has been involved in IT for 20+ years. He was a Unix system admin in Australia's largest ISP when the Internet first became a thing. In 1999 he founded a startup specialising in BMC Software monitoring technologies. He's been leading the thinking about availability, end-user experience, metrics and reporting for 20 years, he developed an SLA reporting application which was used in many Fortune 500 companies and which he sold to BMC Software in 2005. Richard currently consults across multiple teams and projects in Deloitte and leads in ensuring applications are instrumented with metrics and alerting to ensure business objectives are tracked and met. Richard will be speaking about SRE on a large scale asynchronous workflow orchestration platform.

Ioannis Georgoulas - SRE Team Lead - Paddle.com. Ioannis is currently working as SRE Team Lead at Paddle.com, he is Gopher and "SLO all the things" advocate with main focus on bringing reliability mindset to an organization. Ioannis will be speaking about incident management flow components that can fail during a lifecycle of an incident and how we can be prepared.

Lee Gardiner - DevOps Lead at Collinson. Experienced straight-talking DevOps and Infrastructure Lead with a love for all things tech. Lee will be speaking about the theme of the immutable dream. Delving into how he transformed their legacy server estate in 2 UK datacentres to handle sizeable global traffic and bringing the infrastructure ahead 20 years.

We're hosting this event in collaboration with our community partners, The London SRE Group. An open group to collaborate on projects, share ideas, experience and opinions on implementing SRE. This group was set up with the intention of those interested in understanding more about the world of SRE.
